Bailey's Bikes for Kids grew from a school project. Bailey who is dyslexic learns via correspondence and is part of Te Kuras "Big Picture Learning" advisory.  Passion projects stem from something the learner is interested in and parts of the project can be assessed for different NCEA criteria. Bailey found a child's bike with a free sign on it while out riding one day, he dropped his own bike home and ran back in the hope it was still there. He refurbished the bike and documented the process, from the start he knew he would give the finished project to a kid in need. Bailey quickly decided there was a need for more bikes and ran with the idea..........Baileys Bikes for Kids was born.
